Connect with Qianhai rail transit

According to the Master Plan of Shenzhen City (2010-2020), Qianhai, Houhai and Baoan Central districts together form Qianhai Center, which is one of the twin urban centers of Shenzhen, mainly developing regional modern service industry and headquarters economy, and serving as the core functional area for deepening Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and promoting international cooperation. Due to its relatively small area (only 15 square kilometers), Qianhai's public services have a considerable part to be borne by the surrounding areas. According to the plan, Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cooperation Zone is expected to employ about 800,000 people, but can accommodate the population of only 300,000 people, a large number of employees need to live in Nanshan, Baoan. Baoan Central area, adjacent to Qianhai, can provide perfect industrial and life supporting facilities for Qianhai.
At present, Baoan central area and Qianhai in the planning and construction of the connection is insufficient, although the two places are very close, but the traffic connection is not smooth. In terms of underground transportation, Qianhai Cooperation Zone has planned 12 rail lines of various types, with a total length of about 53 kilometers and a rail network density of 3.5 kilometers/square kilometers. The development intensity of Baoan central area is similar to Qianhai, but there are only three rail lines (Line 1 and 5 have been opened, and Line 11 is under construction), and the density is far less than Qianhai. Therefore, Ou Ruizhi, deputy director of the municipal People's Congress and deputy director of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, suggested that the extension of Metro Line 9 to the central area of Bao 'an, so that the play of transport capacity will be doubled, but also to promote industrial integration, break the traffic "bottleneck", achieve the interconnection of ground and underground transportation, and better play the role of rail transit arteries.
